Rigger/Truck Driver

E.T. Gresham Company is looking for an experienced Rigger, preferred Class A CDL license, and 5 years rigging experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will have 5 years experience moving machinery, has a clean driving record, is able to get on any Military Installation in the Hampton Roads area, is a self-starter, an outside the box thinker, and works well in a team to get the job completed. Must be able to climb ladders and lift 60 pounds. E.T. Gresham is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.

• Responsible for working with crew on equipment and lifting devices for movement of heavy loads
• Responsible for positioning equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Move equipment or heavy objects in confined spaces using jacks, blocking, pulley, chain falls and other equipment
• Utilize hooks and swivels, in rigging operations and securing loads
• Understand and use signals to crane operations and moving loads safely

Requirements:

• Any combination equivalent to high school diploma/GED or trade school completion, plus five (5) years of experience – including school or apprenticeship experience. Any equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered
• Valid driver’s license with positive driving record
• Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Card for access to military installations. Background checks will be required
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Occasional weekend/evening work may be required

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
